Description
Clay pebbles (Leca) are great used alone or as a soil additive for almost any type of plant, especially, for aroid plants. The clay pebbles retain water while at the same time providing drainage so that the roots of a plant can breathe. Alternatively, clay pebbles can also be used at the bottom of a pot if the pot does not have a drainage hole. Clay pebbles are also great used as a hydroponics or a propagation (rooting) medium.
Uses of Leca:
- hydroponics
- propagation
- drainage if placed at the bottom of a pot
- if mixed in a potting mix: both water retentive and draining
Tips when using Leca:
- rinse the clay pebbles before using them initially to wash them off any dust
- clay pebbles can be re-used, making them a great sustainable product (just make sure to heat-treat them first to avoid transmitting any diseases from one plant to another)
Clay pebbles are available in volumes of: 0.5L, 1L, 2L, 5L and 10L.

Please allow 2-7 business days for your order to be prepared for dispatch. However, in extreme weather conditions and if your order contains planties or cuttings, the dispatch might be delayed. We do NOT ship plants if the temperature is below 0 degrees Celcius (10ºC) or above 30 degrees Celcius (30ºC ). This is to ensure that your darlings arrive safe and sound.
After your order has been shipped, it usually takes between 1-3 business days for your package to arrive within Germany. For all other EU countries, the delivery times can range between 5-15 business days. However, exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
